ABOUT

Who is
As a magazine editor for the world's most celebrated wintersports title, Powder, I spent nearly a decade chasing stories with both pen and camera in hand. Seven years ago, while serving as Mountain Sport’s International’s Visual Media Director, I decided to change up the direction and move toward shooting full-time.

In addition to spearheading all video, web, and photo efforts, I also became the company’s live webcast producer. The high-intensity role has taught me the meaning of flow under pressure and has helped hone my skills as a director for my own shoots.

I don’t see photography as an end point—a place where I am going to arrive. Instead, it is a constant force in my life that keeps pulling me out of bed and taking me around the world. Along the way I’ve seen the far reaches of Russia, been on stage with musical giants, and heli-skied off virgin peaks. But above all, I’ve met the most incredible people. Doors fling open thanks to the camera.

My skills are as diverse as my interests, but in the end, there is a common thread in my work: high energy, a storyline, and a strong connection to the subject. I don’t want to be a simple observer. I want to participate and the camera allows this to happen.
